How can I become a county program technician?

Career: County Program Technician

To become a country program technician in a local office, you need to meet qualifications laid out by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The agency provides these qualifications in Handbook 27-PM. At a minimum, you require a high school diploma or GED certificate. You also need at least two years of further education or one year in an administrative or service role on a farm or ranch. Organizational and office skills are essential because most of your duties and responsibilities are office-based. Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen or a national and able to pass a background check.
