What is a Hoosier Helper?

Hoosier Helpers are specially trained personnel who operate Indiana's freeway service patrol vehicles. They provide free roadside assistance to motorists on major highways, helping with tasks such as changing flat tires, jump-starting vehicles, and providing fuel. Their main goal is to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently by quickly assisting drivers in need and clearing minor incidents from the roadway.
