What does a framer apprentice do?

A Framer Apprentice assists experienced framers in constructing the basic framework of buildings, such as walls, floors, and roofs, using wood or metal materials. They help measure, cut, and assemble framing components according to blueprints and building codes. Apprentices also learn to use power tools and hand tools, maintain worksite safety, and gain skills under the supervision of journeymen or master framers. Over time, they build their expertise to eventually become fully qualified framers.
