Do tax preparers work year round?

Career: Tax Preparer

Many tax preparers work year-round to meet the different deadlines that come up throughout the year. Some people and corporations request deadline extensions to give them more time to compile their tax paperwork. Businesses need to submit quarterly taxes, which require tax preparation from a professional throughout the year. Tax preparers who work within corporations work all year long to ensure decisions about spending and filing are made in the best interest of the business. However, the vast majority of tax preparers who file individual returns work from around mid-January through the April 15th filing deadline, as this is when most tax work is done.
