What is a developmental disability QIDP?

Developmental Disability QIDPs, or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals, are specialists who coordinate and oversee services for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. They assess client needs, develop and implement individualized service plans, and ensure that care and support meet regulatory and quality standards. QIDPs act as liaisons between individuals, families, and service providers, advocating for the rights and well-being of those they support. Typically, QIDPs have a background in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field, and meet specific state or federal qualifications.
