What is a CTICU RN?

CTICU RNs are Registered Nurses who work in the Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit, a specialized hospital unit that cares for patients recovering from major heart and lung surgeries such as open-heart procedures, heart transplants, and other complex cardiothoracic interventions. These nurses are highly trained in critical care, closely monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting patients and families through recovery. They work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced, life-saving care and respond quickly to any medical emergencies.
