What are comprehensive community services (CCS)?

Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) is a mental health and substance use recovery program designed to provide a wide range of community-based support for children and adults. CCS programs are centered around person-driven, individualized care planning and coordination, helping participants achieve their recovery goals in their own communities. Services may include therapy, skill development, crisis intervention, and support with daily living activities. CCS is available to eligible individuals through county or tribal agencies and is often funded by Medicaid. The primary goal is to help people live stable, satisfying lives while remaining as independent as possible.
