What is a CF SLP?

A CF SLP, or Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist, is a recent graduate who is completing their Clinical Fellowship—the final step before obtaining a full, independent license to practice speech-language pathology in the United States. During this period, the CF SLP works under the supervision of a certified and experienced SLP, gaining hands-on experience and refining their clinical skills. The fellowship typically lasts about 36 weeks of full-time work and is required for certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
