What is a Cardiac PCU RN?

A Cardiac Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (Cardiac PCU RN) is a specialized nurse who cares for patients with cardiac (heart-related) conditions who require close monitoring, but not intensive care. These nurses work in the progressive care unit (PCU), which is also known as step-down or intermediate care.
