What is a behavior officer?

Behavior Officers are professionals who work primarily in educational, correctional, or organizational settings to monitor, manage, and promote positive behavior among individuals or groups. They develop and implement strategies to address behavioral issues, provide support to those exhibiting challenging behaviors, and often collaborate with other staff, families, or stakeholders. Their goal is to foster a safe and productive environment through guidance, intervention, and consistent enforcement of rules or policies. Behavior Officers may also collect data, report incidents, and recommend appropriate interventions or resources to improve overall conduct.
