What is an associate choreographer?

Associate Choreographers are professionals who support the main choreographer in creating, teaching, and refining dance routines for productions such as musicals, films, or concerts. They often help translate the choreographer’s vision to the cast, run rehearsals, and may step in to make creative decisions when the lead choreographer is unavailable. Their responsibilities can also include documenting choreography, assisting with auditions, and ensuring consistency in performances throughout a production’s run.
