Are architects in demand?

Some architects, particularly naval architects and marine engineers, are in high demand. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for naval architects is growing at a rate of 12%, which is faster than average. The demand is due to an increased need for building ships and marine natural resource delivery systems, such as pipelines, whose structure needs to meet more rigorous environmental standards. Other architecture careers are growing about as fast as average, and the space for employment is based largely on the health of the construction industry.
