Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
- Vertiv is hiring a Technical Inside Sales Associate - Power & rPDU to provide technical pre-sales support to targeted national resellers. This position will provide configuration assistance or actual product configuration development, interaction with national resellers technical teams on their customer application requirements, bid spec reviews and compliance documentation, and competitive cross-reference inputs. In addition, provide technical guidance or clarification to national reseller sales teams on how to best position information for effective selling. This position will primarily interface with the national reseller technical teams, national reseller sales teams, and the Vertiv Inside Sales reseller support teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide pre-sale applications engineering support via phone, e-mail, and web to national resellers.
- Assist in defining technical pre-sales elements supporting marketing collateral to national resellers.
- Provide competitive evaluations to national resellers when appropriate.
- Serve as escalation point for national resellers on technical pre-sales questions.
- Provide technical sales support to targeted national resellers via training and presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or other technical degree. Associates degree or Military certification with at least 3 years of directly related work experience will be held as equivalent to the educational requirement. 5 years of directly related work experience may also be held as equivalent to educational requirement.
- 0-1 years of application engineering experience.
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office suite, are required.
- Highly detail-oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
- Capability of effectively interacting with global personnel.
- Professional attitude towards customer relations.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Up to 10% quarterly.
