Job description
- Design, develop, and deliver next-generation storage platforms
- Collaborate closely with Firmware Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Storage OS teams
- Lead multiple project teams and internal and outsourced development partners through design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration
- Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced software development partners
- Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development standards
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk
- Provide domain-specific expertise and software systems leadership to cross-organization projects and programs
- Drive innovation and integrate new technologies into software systems projects
- Guide and mentor less-experienced staff members
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically 6–10 years’ experience in embedded system design/implementation for Distributed Storage systems
- Extensive experience with C, Rust, and Python
- Advanced knowledge of SAS and NVMe protocols
- Experience in overall architecture of software systems for products and solutions
- Experience designing and integrating software systems running on Intel and AMD
- Experience with software systems testing methodology, test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Mastery in English and local language
- Ability to communicate product architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at senior management levels
Demonstrates expertise in embedded system design and implementation for Distributed Storage systems, with advanced knowledge of C, Rust, and Python. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage software development partnerships, and drive innovation in software systems architecture.
