    Job description

    Material Manager (Electrical Contruction / Industrial Projects)

    Location: Chandler, AZ (Intel Project Site – Relocation Available)
    Company: Quality “Plus” Services (QPS)
    Full-Time

    Why This Role Is Different

    This is not a traditional warehouse job.

    You’ll be managing materials and logistics for a live industrial construction project, directly supporting field crews and keeping critical electrical work moving.

    If you’ve supported electrical or industrial construction projects, understand jobsite urgency, and can manage materials tied to the critical path, this role is a strong fit.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    ⚡ Material & Electrical Inventory Management

    • Oversee receiving, inspection, and tracking of:
      • Conduit, wire, cable, panels, switchgear
      • Electrical fittings, terminations, and equipment
    • Verify shipments against POs and specs
    • Manage laydown yards and controlled storage areas
    • Protect and track high-value and long-lead materials

    Inventory Control & Accuracy

    • Maintain real-time inventory tracking systems
    • Implement labeling, tagging, and material control processes
    • Perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
    • Prevent material loss, damage, or misallocation

    Field & Project Coordination

    • Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen
    • Stage and deliver materials based on construction sequencing
    • Support just-in-time delivery to active work areas
    • Prioritize materials tied to critical path activities

    ️ Tools & Equipment Management

    • Track tool issuance, returns, and usage
    • Maintain equipment logs and calibration records
    • Ensure proper storage and preventative maintenance tracking

    ⚠️ Safety & Site Compliance

    • Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards
    • Comply with high-security jobsite protocols
    • Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready warehouse areas

    Team Leadership

    • Supervise warehouse staff, drivers, and material handlers
    • Train team on inventory systems and jobsite procedures
    • Drive accountability, productivity, and accuracy

    What We’re Looking For

    ✅ 4–10+ years in construction warehouse, materials, or logistics management
    ✅ Experience supporting:

    • Electrical construction (strongly preferred)
    • Industrial or commercial construction
    • Large-scale or fast-paced job sites

    ✅ Strong knowledge of:

    • Electrical materials (conduit, cable, panels, switchgear)
    • Jobsite logistics and material flow
    • Inventory systems / ERP tools

    ✅ Ability to:

    • Work in a field-driven, fast-paced environment
    • Coordinate with construction teams daily
    • Manage high-value materials with accuracy

    Bonus Experience

    • Semiconductor or cleanroom construction
    • Mission-critical or data center projects
