The scope of our work includes but is not limited to New Wafer Fabrication factories (Fabs), Fab Conversions, Process Tools Install, Infrastructure, and Progressive Build.

    Position Details • This position reports to the Director of Construction or Sr. Program Manager • This is an onsite position in Hillsboro, Oregon
    Position Overview The Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager will be responsible for the site construction quality assurance program and project quality systems to support all areas of semiconductor construction projects. The Quality QA/QC manager will also provide oversight to Intel's direct contracted 3rd party inspection firms (geotechnical, civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process).
    Key Responsibilities As a Quality Manager (QA/QC) your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
    • Develop and implement a total and complete Quality Management Plan
    • Develop a 3rd party resource plan to include QAR firm, high purity analytical test firm, Exhaust Test and Balance firm, Special Inspection Agencies, Gas and Chem. system technician team, Life Safety system startup and test team
    • Review and approve the Design-Builder (DB), Construction Manager (CM), or Multi Prime trade contractors (MP) Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Construction Project Execution Plan(CPEP)
    • Respond to and document quality issue notifications to DB, CM, or MP, ensuring onsite work conforms to drawings codes and specifications, improving the quality of construction through our 3rd party and/or contracts
    • Ensure DB, CM, or MP contractors perform to quality assurance plans (inspection checklists, indicator, and non-conformance reports); ensure is meeting contracted metrics and the systems provide Intel management contracted metrics and updates
    • Ensure the 3rd Party is performing work to Scope of Work (SOW) (individual certifications, fab shop audits, etc.); ensure is performing to budget and is not incurring unnecessary charges
    • Understand contract language and ensure DB, CM or MP is working to the Quality General Requirements
    • Work/Develop cost reduction efficiencies with trades and project teams and stakeholders
    • Develop and manage site FCS Quality Execution Plan
    • Ensure quality inspections by either 3rd party or AHJ are robust and are being entered appropriately by the DB, CM, or MP into a tracking mechanism and KPIs are generated and reviewed at a minimum of every month
    • Work with cross-site teams to develop and drive Best known methods (BKMS), learnings, efficiencies, and standardization across the Virtual Factory (VF). Report issues that could impact the VF
    • Build and drive safety Culture of Care in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution

    Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
    Minimum qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field with 4+ years of work experience in Construction Management or Quality Assurance/Quality Control or related technical experience.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    Content knowledge in construction testing and standards.
    Project management skills and leadership skills to manage multiple firms.
    Construction Experience
    Process, mechanical, and civil testing background.
    Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.)
