Job description

Senior Hardware Engineer
Our TTC facility in Newtown, PA is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead mixed-signal PWB design, including analog, digital, power, and FPGA/microcontroller systems.
You will drive hardware architecture, improve designs, and support testing, validation, and production. The role includes cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also ensure compliance with standards and deliver complete technical documentation.
Location: Newtown, PA
Salary Range: 94,700.00 - 125,000.00 annual per year plus bonus

Your Challenge:
  • Lead the design and development of PWB board-level (mixed-signal) hardware, including analog, digital, and power electronics.
  • Oversee and contribute to programmable digital logic (FPGA and/or microcontroller) design activities, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Analyze and enhance existing designs to support ongoing hardware development and performance improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership in defining hardware architectures and system-level solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Test Engineering, to develop robust test hardware and software for design verification and qualification.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and performance evaluations to optimize hardware bring-up and validation.
  • Provide guidance to Operations and Manufacturing teams, supporting production assembly, testing, and RMA activities.
  • Drive the creation of technical documentation, including schematics, design specifications, and end-user product documentation.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership in problem-solving.
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for fielded products, addressing design improvements and obsolescence management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in hardware development.
  • Undertake any other activities necessary to support end-product development as requested by management.

What You Bring:
  • BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering (from an accredited college or university).
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development, with expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Knowledge of power supply design, signal integrity, and high-speed digital interfaces.
  • Experience with EMC compliance, thermal management, and ruggedized hardware design for harsh environments.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of complex design challenges.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
  • Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
