TransPerfect's Montreal-based office is looking for English-to-Frenchtranslators with varying levels of experience (intermediate or senior) inbanking and insurance. You will be responsible forthetranslationandbilingualproofreadingofdocumentsfor a diverse range of clients. TransPerfect offers the opportunityfor hybridworkarrangements from our downtown Montreal location.
Job description
Translate and revise high-visibility contentwithin the banking and insurance sectors.
Provide translationstailoredto the French-Canadian market using, among other things, idiomatic expressions.
Be a brandambassadorby becoming an extension of the client's brand within TransPerfect and maintaining brand consistency across all projects.
Use and update translation memories and glossaries.
Managemultiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Keep project managers informed of thestatusof each project and meet internal and client deadlines.
Perform administrative tasksas neededto support your workand the company's key performance indicators.
Participate in the training of new team members and freelancers, and provide feedback, as needed.
Act as a representative ofthe Linguistics Department,by engaging with clients to better understand their preferences, updating style guides, glossaries, instructions, and reference documents, and resolving issues as they arise.
Make recommendations to your supervisor on ways to improve processesas part of TransPerfect's Montreal office commitment to continuous improvement.
Skills required
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and cultural knowledge in source and target languages (English and French in Canada).

- Fournir des traductions adaptees au marche canadien-francais en ayant recours entre autres a des expressions idiomatiques.
- Etre proprietaire de marque en devenant une extension de la marque du client au sein de TransPerfect et en maintenant la coherence de la marque dans tous les projets.
- Utiliser et mettre a jour les memoires de traduction et les glossaires.
- Composer avec de multiples projets et priorites dans un environnement dynamique.
- Tenir les gestionnaires de projet au courant de l'evolution de chaque projet et respecter les delais internes et des clients.
