The Technology Solutions Engineer is responsible for the technical design, architecture, validation, and presentation of integrated security solutions offered by Securitas. This includes developing end-to-end system designs that combine guarding services with electronic security technologies such as access control, video surveillance, video analytics, remote monitoring services, intrusion detection, and alarm systems. The role focuses on translating client requirements into scalable, reliable solutions and ensuring all components work together seamlessly to enhance security, improve situational awareness, and support our clients' operational needs. This position is based in Frederick, MD, and requires up to 30% travel throughout territory that includes Maryland, Eastern Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Delaware.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
Sales
  • Interface with clients, AVPs, DMs, BDMs serving as technical experts for security systems.
  • Coordinate with field managers as needed to provide technology solutions (and information about such) to their clients and prospects.
  • Attend client/prospect meetings to qualify, provide technology advice and information, present technology ideas, design and develop technology (service and equipment) solutions.
  • Respond to bids and RFPs.
  • Generate leads from existing clients and from new prospects.
  • Manage leads and provide regular accounting of sales / prospect activity.
  • Manage and report on sales and forecasting activity.
  • Field calls from DMs, BDMs, AVPs and prospects regarding technology and systems
  • Create and present Integrated Guarding sales proposals (in conjunction with IGSC)
  • Use Google maps and Visio to create designs for the sales process.

Technical
  • Design and architect Security Systems
  • Provide scope of work and design documents.
  • Use Google maps and Visio to create designs which are ready to handoff to engineers.
  • Coordinate with Technology Project Ensure smooth hand-off for implementation.
  • Work with Prospects and Technology Project Manager (as needed) to refine and define project scope prior to contract finalization.

COMPENTENSIES

  4. Ability to manage and generate leads.

  1. Ability to manage time and multiple tasks without supervision.
  2. Interpersonal skills and professionalism are critical.

  4. Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 4+ years of previous experience in project management role with a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) and/or a Technology Manufacturer in the Security Systems Industry
  • At least 4+ years technical experience with security systems including design and architecture
  • 4-year college degree preferred
