Job description

Quality Manager

Location: San Antonio, Texas

As a Quality Manager, you will manage the business unit quality function through development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures consistent with organizational requirements and corporate standards.

What You'll do

  • Provide strategic leadership for the site's Quality Management System (QMS) 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with FAA Part 145, AS9110, customer and corporate requirements 
  • Lead management review activities
  • Manage the audit program (develop and execute the annual internal audit schedule) 
  • Oversee supplier and external audits
  • Monitor audit effectiveness and recurring issues 
  • Drive operational quality with Operations, Engineering, Programs and Supply Chain
  • Lead corrective actin and continuous improvement 
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem solving methodologies 
  • Develop, Coach, Mentor the quality team and establish performance expectations and accountability 
  • Manage quality performance through develop and monitor KPI's
  • Identify trends and drive improvement initiatives and use data to prioritize organizational improvements 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing quality teams, managing audit programs, and driving enterprise-level quality initiatives across complex operational environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS), including implementation, maintenance, continuous improvement, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits and managing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs. 
  • Experience applying FAA airworthiness certification requirements, regulatory compliance standards, and industry-specific regulatory requirements. 

Desired Skills

  • 10 years minimum work experience in Aviation and/or Aerospace
  • Previous Quality Manager, Chief Inspector, or Quality Engineering
  • As9100/9110 Lead Auditor certification
  • Experience leading and preparing organizations for certifications (AS/ISO) or regulatory audits
  • Experience service as the primary interface with FAA, DCMA, DOW, or major aerospace customers
  • American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence  (CMQ/QE, or Six Sigma Black Belt
