Job description

NISC develops and implements enterprise-level and customer-facing software solutions for over 960+ energy cooperatives and communication organizations across North America. Our mission is to deliver technology solutions and services that are Member-focused, quality-driven and valued-priced. We exist to serve our Members and help them serve their communities through our innovative software products, services and outstanding customer support. We are an AI-forward company committed to being a technology leader in our industry. NISC has been ranked in ComputerWorld's Best Places to Work for 23 years, and we are looking for qualified individuals to join our team.

Do you know your way around a payroll run, inventory reconciliation, or a general ledger-and enjoy helping others solve problems? This role might be your next move.

NISC is hiring a FIS Product Support Specialist II to join our Product Support Team. We're looking for someone who understands how financial operations actually work in the real world-whether that's cutting paychecks, closing the books, managing stock and inventory, or keeping the GL clean-and can translate that knowledge into exceptional customer support.

Your work here has real stakes - the customers you support are utilities that keep the lights on and the water running in communities across the country.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for customers using our FIS Accounting System-troubleshooting issues across GL, payroll, and inventory modules
  • Resolve and document customer cases via phone, email, and chat
  • Deliver end-user training through webinars and guided presentations
  • Surface product feedback that improves the customer experience
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate across departments

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years' experience in a technical support function
  • Experience customizing or supporting SaaS software
  • Strong communicator who can make complex topics clear and approachable
  • Comfortable with software troubleshooting, Salesforce, JIRA or other ticketing system experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • Customer-first mindset with a genuine interest in solving problems

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • Hands-on familiarity with general ledger, payroll processing, inventory management, or bookkeeping
  • Exposure to utility, billing, or cooperative systems
  • Familiarity with SQL for querying and troubleshooting data issues
