Overview

Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity for a Field Solutions Architect, working remotely. Excellent opportunity to work for a top VAR offering excellent benefits including 10% BONUS, 3 weeks paid PTO, tuition reimbursement, excellent benefits, etc.; opportunity for growth. *REMOTE*

This role will be primarily supporting Healthcare client. This is a long-term, highly visible project involving coordination of numerous Field Technicians across the United States, with the potential to expand into a global deployment effort.

This position is remote (can sit anywhere in the U.S.) with travel expected at 35–50%.

Under general supervision of the Manager, Project Management, the Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) leverages experience and judgment to plan and successfully deliver high-profile, large, and complex projects. The Sr. PM partners with Connection sales subsidiaries and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution using established project management methodologies.

The Sr. PM serves as the primary point of contact for all project communications, leads meetings, documents outcomes, and ensures all phases of the project lifecycle are executed according to plan. This role also supports pre-sales efforts, helping define scope, requirements, and timelines.

Additionally, the Sr. PM plays a key role in mentoring junior project managers, driving process improvements within the PMO, and acting as a change agent across the organization.

Travel may be required for project kickoffs, pilot programs, milestone reviews, and customer meetings. Work may be performed remotely or at a Connection office.

Where applicable, this position ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver large-scale, complex IT service delivery projects.
  • Develop and manage project artifacts including charters, schedules, budgets, and risk plans.
  • Manage internal teams and third-party vendors to meet project objectives.
  • Proactively control scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing point of contact.
  • Facilitate meetings, agendas, and documentation of minutes.
  • Support pre-sales activities including scoping and solution development.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Business Development, and Engineering teams.
  • Mentor junior PMs and contribute to PMO process improvements.
  • Manage both CAPEX and OPEX-driven projects.
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as needed.

Travel Requirements

  • 35–50% travel required.
  • National travel to customer sites, including healthcare environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience (12+ years preferred for full proficiency).
  • Experience managing IT professional services projects and third-party vendors.
  • Healthcare project management experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience supporting large, distributed field deployment projects.

Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – REQUIRED.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project for scheduling and planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to create and manage project documentation and deliverables.
