Responsibilities

  • Working under minimal supervision of the Supervisor, Subscription Operations, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Subscription Operations Specialist oversees the lifecycle operations of the recurring billing business within the organization.
  • The Subscription Operations Specialist works closely with Finance and other internal teams to help determine revenue recognition based on established company controls for an assigned multi- million-dollar recurring billing segment(s).
  • The Subscription Operations Specialist assists in the development of processes and documentation for vendors variable cost payment options.
  • The Subscription Operations Specialist ensures that the customer contracts meet vendor requirements for variable payments to mitigate Company Liability.
  • The Subscription Operations Specialist maintains personal knowledge of vendor contracts and manages variable payment options to meet vendor program and company audit compliance which limits liability to both the customer and Connection in terms of revenue loss, inability to sell vendor programs and associated fines.

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and creating pivot tables.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include creating presentations and creating documents in Word to include advanced formatting.
  • Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials.
  • Discreet with demonstrated ability to work in a confidential executive environment using good judgment while acting as an ambassador for the company.
  • An understanding of sales or recurring billings and operations with ability to reconcile vendor usage reports and invoices, follow and improve processes within vendor segments while maintaining set controls.
  • Process change agent with ability to identify process improvements and system enhancements in a changing environment.
  • An understanding of various business processes and workflows as they relate to recurring billing activities, company policies and procedures and financial reporting.
  • Intermediate reasoning skills with ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Basic working knowledge of recurring billings operation processes and procedures with ability to advise.
  • Process change agent with ability to identify process improvements and system enhancements in a changing environment.
  • Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
  • Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational.
  • Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.
