Job description
Your role in our success:
The Construction and Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of company system infrastructure and facilities, as well as emergency response within the service territory.
What you'll be doing:
- Operates and maintains gas pipelines and facilities
- Maintains facilities (operations centers, compressor stations, etc.)
- Leads or assists pipeline maintenance activities (leaks, cathodic protection, valves)
- Proficiently operates heavy equipment and may train junior technicians
- Conducts inspections (including vehicle inspections)
- Documents compliance tasks in work systems
- Manages 811 tickets for routine and emergency work
- Maintains truck inventory and organization
- Performs facility/equipment maintenance
- Assists with material procurement
- Supports peak shaving processes
Who you are:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 2 years underground utility experience (mechanical/industrial)
- License: CDL required (Class A or B)
- Strong safety focus
- Proficient mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Heavy equipment operation skills
- Basic computer and communication skills
- Ability to wear required PPE
