Behavior Therapist/Behavior Support Specialist (BSS) in an Adult Residential Facility

Location: Inglewood and Gardena
Hours REQUIRED: Flexible availability throughout the week including at least one weekend day (shifts are schedule in the morning, evening and overnights)
Must attend paid Mandatory New Hire Classroom Training at the end of August 2019

What we require:

Completed Bachelor's degree with a preference in Psychology, Child Development, Communication Disorders, Education or related field
2+ years’ experience implementing behavior intervention services with individuals with special needs, but will accept at least 1-year experience (experience with working with individuals with severe challenging behaviors preferred)
Must have Reliable means of transportation, valid CA driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance
Must have a clean driving record in order to qualify for driving company van for clients
Required screenings: TB test screening, Health screening report and FBI/DOJ background checks

Job Description: Behavior Therapist/Behavior Support Specialist in an Adult Residential Facility

A Behavior Support Specialist is a specialized Behavior Therapist who provides direct behavior support services to individuals living in an Enhanced Behavioral Supports Home (EBSH) who have a Developmental Disability and substantial mental health diagnoses, under the supervision of the Administrator, BCBA and Lead Direct Support Professional
Dispense Medication
Assist with self-care, bathing and grooming
Assist individuals with limited mobility
Assist with house maintenance and cleanliness
Behavior Support Specialists implement behavior intervention plans and conduct preference assessments and skill building activities. Behavior Support Specialists collect data and maintain client records in accordance with the specified behavior intervention plan and skill acquisition goals as defined per client

Pay range from $18/hr. to $20/hr. for clinical work
