Bookkeeper

Pet Express Animal Hospital of Brow is a family owned business that originated from top corporate hospital and health system in the United States.

The bookkeeper is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation and performing general accounting functions, as required.

To be considered for this position you must be computer proficient and have extensive experience in the following fields:

·         A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeper experience is required.

·         QuickBooks 2017

·         Excel accounting formula and spreadsheet not required but a plus

·         A/R, A/P, G/L,  various reports and statements.

·         Able to produce financial statements on a monthly basis and year –end reporting.

·         Profit and loss account analysis.

·         High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information.

• Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the authority

• Read, write and speak English and Spanish, preferred

• Full cycle accounts receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintain records of all customers and vendors

• Accounts payable: maintenance for purchase orders and vendor records

• Maintenance of general ledger

• Prepare monthly financial statements

• Assist with annual budget and audit process

• Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies

• Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
