CareWell Urgent Care seeks Full Time EMTs, Paramedics, or Medical Assistants to work in our Cambridge, MA locations.

Summary:

Under general supervision, the EMT is responsible for continuous, efficient and smooth patient flow in the urgent care center. Identifies and provides necessary clinical preparation according to protocols, patient interactions, and review of patient charts. EMT’s focus is to provide advanced emergency medical care for emergent who come to Carewell. This individual possesses the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care. The EMT has knowledge, skills, and abilities developed by appropriate formal education and training.

Summary:

Under general supervision, The Paramedic’s primary focus is to provide advanced emergency medical care for emergent who come to Carewell. This individual possesses the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care. The Paramedic has knowledge, skills, and abilities developed by appropriate formal education and training. The Paramedic has the knowledge associated with, and is expected to be competent in, all of the skills of the EMR, EMT, and AEMT.

Summary:

Under general supervision, the Medical Assistant is responsible for continuous, efficient and smooth patient flow in the urgent care center. Identifies and provides necessary clinical preparation according to protocols, patient interactions, and review of patient charts. Administrative responsibilities will include, without limitation, all generally accepted office responsibilities, making appointments, filing, answering phones, preparing correspondence, and preparing patient charts, obtaining referrals and paperwork as needed/directed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• EMT-Paramedic or EMT-B required
• Knowledge or ability obtained through the completion of an EMT program
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an urgent care setting
• Proficient in MS Office and clinical and medical electronic record systems
• Current CPR/BLS and First Aid Certifications required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates a willingness to adjust responsibilities to accommodate a fast-paced work environment, maintain excellent customer service, and create teamwork with co-workers
• Must be willing to work at other centers as needed due to volume changes and/or staffing needs
