Job Description

Sammamish and Issaquah students need you! Unique, 1:1 private school and tutoring service is seeking to add to our team! Currently seeking Test Prep tutors. Preference for experienced, but all test prep tutors at the Academy go through Academy SAT/ACT prep training.

Qualified candidates will preferably be able to tutor both the Math and Verbal/English sections + have some experience with study skills and Executive Functioning. We are always interested in meeting candidates able to tutor/teach one or more additional subjects (Math to Calculus, Physics, Humanities, Executive Functioning, Spanish, Middle School subjects, etc..).

This position is part time, but candidates with multi-subject expertise will have the opportunity for more hours. This is NOT a contractor job, which means we pay for training, drive time between lessons, ongoing professional development, health and dental benefits if you qualify, and half SS/medicare. We provide materials and provide support throughout the time you work with a student. Plus, we love what we do and are fun to work with! As an accredited private school, we seek to provide a joyous and consistent experience for both students and instructors, which requires you offer the same days/times on a weekly basis.

Position requires driving between local library and student homes (within the Sammamish/Issaquah area) and drive time is paid.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in teaching or tutoring (two years preferred)
Ability to build rapport with students of diverse learning styles
Sufficient knowledge of core educational subjects (no need to "brush up")
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Live close to Sammamish and Issaquah, WA
