Certified Medical Assistant

Alaska Center for Ear, Nose and Throat (ACENT) is currently searching for a full-time certified medical assistant to join our team. (S)he is responsible for assisting providers in delivering quality health care to patients and their families. Essential duties include providing excellent customer/patient services via phone and in person; assisting our providers in procedures and surgery scheduling; rooming patients and obtaining vital signs, making appointments for patients according to established protocols and assisting patients/clients with forms.

The incumbent must work collaboratively with all clinical services, patient services, and billing staff in support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and a “can do” attitude. The position must exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in patient/staff interactions. Qualified individuals must have a High School Diploma and successful completion of a medical assistant program. A minimum of two years’ experience working in surgical office environment is preferred. Individuals must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal, computer, and written communication skills; as well as excellent telephone etiquette and a strong professional work ethic.
