Licensed Outpatient Therapist - Team Lead (Western NC)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Clinician Team Lead to join our Macon County Community Support Team (CST) which provides enhanced clinical services to individuals with mental health, substance use, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. This position is part of the Community Support Team that provides community-based mental health and substance use rehabilitation services for these individuals. The Clinician will serve as the lead for the Community Support Team and will also provide assessment, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, as well as clinical supervision of all team members. Accurate and timely documentation of services shall be maintained by the Clinician and rendered in the Electronic Health Record. This position is based primarily at our Outpatient Clinic in Franklin, NC.
Appalachian Community Services (ACS) is an ncgCare Partner committed to providing an array of services to effectively meet the changing needs within the community. These services include counseling and psychiatry, substance use treatment, mobile and residential crisis stabilization, intensive in-home, community support teams, peer support, and group homes.
Prior Experience and Other Preferences
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must not have any substantiated findings of abuse or neglect with the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry
Must divulge any criminal convictions and submit to a criminal background check
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferably have experience working in a team setting
Must have the ability to relate positively to children and adults of all ages, races, socioeconomic backgrounds, and abilities
Must have experience and efficiency in providing clinical services utilizing an evidence-based practice, preferably in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Preferably have past work experience in social services, education, or a related field
Preferably have experience working within an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Educational Requirements
Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related degree
Licensure Requirements
Must posses full or associate provisional license of LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of North Carolina
Associate Licensed clinicians must obtain full licensure within 30 months of hire
Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in addition to above licensure preferred
