Job Description

The Learning Hub Academy is looking for part-time teachers or tutors to join our successful team. You will coach and instruct Primary, Junior and/ or Intermediate aged students in English. We are looking for those who have a talent for teaching and who are very comfortable with the Ontario curriculum. In addition, you will be responsible for implanting aspects of a structured UK Curriculum.

Requirements/Qualifications:

· Experience teaching/tutoring Elementary students is a strong requirement for this role and a passion for education

· Knowledge in public school curriculum subjects, Maths up to grade 8 level

· The opportunity may also suit internationally trained teachers, those with their B.Ed/M. Ed, just starting their teaching career in Canada.

· Graduate or enrolled in B. Ed, OCT is good to have

· Possess great English communication skills to be comfortable sharing information with parents.

· Ability to provide accurate reports regarding student progress as required

· Excellent multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills.

· Able to work as a part of a team and independently

· Reliability, professionalism and the ability to teach competently in your areas of specialization

Our tutoring hours are 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm Mondays and Wednesdays. Staff is expected to be at the center 15 mins before their shift.

References and a Police Clearance Certificate for Vulnerable Sector Screening will also be required.
