How to Get a Remote PLC Programming Job

The qualifications to get a remote PLC programming job include a degree, programming skills, a reliable computer with high-speed internet, and the ability to work remotely without direct oversight. You need a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field to work as a PLC programmer. Many employers expect or prefer you to have a bachelor’s degree in a specialty such as electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or computer engineering. Some companies hire applicants with a technical degree who also have experience programming for industrial automation. Some technical and vocational schools offer certificate programs in industrial automation or manufacturing programming.
