What Does a Remote Implementation Manager Do?

As a remote implementation manager, you work from home to direct the implementation of a new system or process in a company or organization. Your duties vary depending on the needs of each client or customer, but you typically lead a team of specialists during an implementation project. In general, your responsibilities include creating a budget for the implementation project, providing necessary training and information, and helping troubleshoot until the new system gets fully integrated. Some implementation specialists help companies transfer to new software, hardware, or network systems, while others specialize in business or manufacturing processes.

How Can I Get a Remote Job as an Implementation Manager?

The qualifications to work as a remote implementation manager include a relevant degree, previous experience, a computer with high-speed internet, and management skills. You also must be able to organize, communicate, and track implementation progress using project management applications. Most employers and clients expect candidates to have at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. If you specialize in IT systems, for example, you would need a degree in IT or a related technical field. If you work on business, manufacturing, or employee relations projects, you would need a business, engineering, or human resources degree, respectively.
