How to Become an Operational Risk Consultant
To become an operational risk consultant, you need a bachelor's degree or more advanced degree in auditing, accounting, economics, compliance, finance, or a similar area. You should understand how a firm's size and staffing affects its operations. Other qualifications include knowledge of business functions, strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and organization. You also need to stay up-to-date on risk management knowledge and skills, and you need to be familiar with company policy. You should be able to work as a team player as you communicate with many groups of people.
