A .NET web developer programs and builds web applications for business systems using languages and technology from the .NET framework. As a .NET web developer, your duties include designing web-based applications, documenting application codes, and assessing and upgrading existing applications. You may also provide technical support. To become a .NET web developer, you typically need an understanding of .NET framework and technology, relevant programming experience, and a strong portfolio of work. Although technical ability may be considered more important than formal education for this career, some employers prefer candidates to also have a four-year degree in a computer-related field.

How to Become a .NET Web Developer

Your career as a .NET Web Developer will largely hinge on your experience and skillset within the .NET framework. In this role, you will construct web platforms for business systems using the .NET language and technologies. The job also requires you to have a working familiarity with the C# and other programming languages.
