To begin your modeling career, you need a starter portfolio—a collection of photographs that show your face and body from different perspectives and in various poses. You can take classes through a modeling school, but it is not a requirement. Research modeling agencies in your area and set up meetings with professional model scouts or agents who can evaluate your modeling potential. Remember that an agent is often looking for specific characteristics, so do not give up if your first evaluation is not an immediate and resounding success. Although the phrase “fashion model” sums up many people’s idea of the modeling industry, there are several different types of modeling jobs. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, a fit model works with garment manufacturers so clothing is made according to correct sizing and fit guidelines. An agent checks out photographers, publications, and events to make sure you are working with legitimate professionals rather than shady individuals hosting a photo shoot. Your agent also handles travel arrangements and other logistics. Working with non-exclusive talent agencies allows you to have the benefits of working with an agent while maintaining your ability to book jobs with other professionals in the industry.

Modeling is a competitive career, and your success depends largely on your persistence, professionalism, and image. When you first start out as a model, you are likely to book small shoots with relatively low pay. As you gain exposure and make connections with more industry professionals, you are in a better position to book higher paying gigs with well-known brands. Job Summary

We are casting adult female Models of various heights and sizes to showcase our latest designs to be used in print and online media outlets. The photoshoot should last about two days and eight hours each day. Modeling experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider attractive and outgoing candidates with little to no experience. You must have minimal body art and be able to stand and hold a position for extended periods. We also expect you to have reliable transportation and be on time for each photoshoot.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Try on and model different styles of clothing
• Take direction on pose and expression
• Hold your position until the photographer is able to get the required images
• Change quickly between shots

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• A portfolio of current photos of your front, side, and back
• Prior modeling roles preferred
• The ability to stand and pose for extended periods
• Minimal body art
• Punctual and dependable
• Reliable transportation
