Java EE and Web Services certifications at the Master and Certified Expert levels indicate that a developer’s talent goes beyond basic Java development.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Java Developer to join our expanding technology team. In this role, you will develop and design technology solutions that are scalable, relevant, and critical to our company's success. You will focus on Java/JavaEE development throughout all phases of the development lifecycle and must be able to troubleshoot and anticipate errors during each step. We prefer candidates who have at least two years of professional developer experience and an impressive portfolio of past work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement essential applications andscalable, lasting technology solutions
• Review current systems, suggesting updates as needed
• Gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders
• Test and debug new applications and updates
• Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks in order to address them proactively
• Resolve reported issues and reply to queries in a timely manner
• Develop and utilize technical change documentation
• Remain up-to-date on all current best practices, trends, and industry developments
• Help junior team members grow and develop their skills

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
• Java certification preferred
• 2+ years of experience in the IT field, preferably in a corporate setting
• Solid working knowledge of Java and J2EE technologies
• Significant experience working with SQL and HTML
• Familiarity with JIRA is a plus
• Experience with database usage and management
