To become an iOS developer, you usually need a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, programming, or a related field, though some employers may consider candidates without a degree who have extensive programming experience and an impressive portfolio of successful applications. Most iOS developers have several years of software development experience, working with different platforms, but then specializing in iOS development. You must be proficient with iOS frameworks, including Foundation, UIKit, CoreLocation, and MapKit, and know how to utilize Swift and Objective-C programming languages in XCode.
