What Is a Flash Developer?

A Flash developer creates web animation and other interactive online media using Adobe Flash software. Your primary duties as a Flash developer revolve around working with other developers, content creators, and artists to come up with the visual design and layout of a web game, interactive news story, or any other media that has animated or responsive features. After coming up with the designs, it is your job to code the ideas in Adobe Flash or another web language, such as XML, CSS, or HTML.

How to Become a Flash Developer

The qualifications needed for a career as a Flash developer begin with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design, or animation. While in school, you should gain experience through internships at online media companies or by designing your own animation in your spare time. Essential skills for this career include the ability to collaborate with many different creative designers, strong programming skills, and familiarity with the Adobe suite of products.
