Full Job Description

Silver Spring Dermatology has been serving patients for over 30+ years and we are currently seeking a professional, reliable, and hard-working Medical Assistant with preference to those with prior dermatology exposure and EMR experience (i.e. EZDERM), but not required. General medical experience and scribing is required. This is an exciting opportunity to walk into an established office to build experience own through clinical practice as well as cosmetics and surgeries. Duties Include but Are Not Limited To:

• Support and assist physician in delivering quality care to patients

• Greeting all patients in a professional manner

• Providing outstanding patient customer service

• Review patient medical history prior to visits

• Obtain appropriate consents from patients (i.e. cosmetic procedures, surgeries)

• Perform prior authorization and call-in prescriptions

• Telephone communication with patients regarding call backs and/or results

• Checking patients in and out

• Collect and manage patient information with respect and confidentiality, in accordance with HIPAA regulations

• Actively interact with patients

• Engage with a positive attitude and clear speaking voice
• Support the front office desk staff, additional providers, and office manager with administrative tasks.

Job Type

·      Monday – Friday

·      8-hour shifts

Pay

·      $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Education

·      High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Qualifications/Experience:

·      Medical Scribing (Required)

·      Certified Medical Experience (Preferred)
