Job Title: Logistics Operations Specialist
Location: Orlando, FL (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $20-$22/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Logistics Operations Specialist to support advanced logistics operations, inventory management, and service order processing. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling complex tasks, mentoring team members, and driving efficiency in warehouse and materials operations.
The position will initially start on 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with the potential to work 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Perform logistics tasks with greater independence, building on foundational logistics responsibilities.
Manage complex shipments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely processing.
Mentor and train team members on logistics tasks and SAP processes.
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to optimize material flow and address issues.
Work in various areas of Materials as needed.
Review and validate customer repair orders and scopes of work.
Create and maintain accurate work orders in SAP, including warranty and financial details.
Generate subcontract purchase orders for external repairs.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely delivery of repairs.
Serve as the point of contact for customer financial release and shipping readiness.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of SAP experience
3 years of inventory control or shipping & receiving experience
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership or mentoring experience
Experience with international shipping and complex logistics
Background in aviation, electronics, or technical industries
Forklift and pallet jack operation experience
Physical Requirements
Moderate physical activity, including lifting objects up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
Walking, standing, and operating manual or powered equipment
