Job Requisition ID: R00022065 Job Category: Institutional Services (Non-Faculty Only) Organization: Associate Director Design and Production Location/s: Main Campus Jackson Job Title: Manager - Printing - Design and Production - FT Job Summary: To plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the staff and operational activities of the printing department in the delivery of quality printing services. Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of related experience Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: NA Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of printing equipment, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of customer services standards and procedures.

Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors.

Ability to perform basic supervisory functions. Responsibilities * Coordinates and supervises all aspects of production including work allocation, preparing production schedules, and prioritizing print services requests. * Prepares and submits an annual budget; monitors and maintains records of expenditures; prepares purchase orders and associated paperwork; reviews, reconciles, and prepares invoices for payment. * Confers with department heads to determine printing requirements and specifications. * Solicits estimates, writes bid specifications, and prepares cost analysis. Selects, coordinates, and monitors the work of outside vendors. * Serves as the property officer for the department; verifies and submits annual property inventory. * Manages personal activities to include training, supervision, and evaluation of staff. * The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Physical and Environmental Demands Requires frequent exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, frequent handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, frequent crouching/stooping, occasional driving, frequent kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, frequent twisting, and frequent walking.
