Job Summary

We are seeking individuals who are looking to build a career in our industry. We have an urgent need for Smartphone Repair Technicians that are computer savvy, self-motivated, customer oriented, a willing learner, and have a stellar work ethic.  Reliable transportation and a clean driving record are required to service our customers at their location of choice. Although computer science/IT programs are the most relatable programs to our high-tech line of work, we've had the pleasure of working with students in a variety of disciplines, and they've been a tremendous asset to our team. Responsibilities and Duties

• Must be computer and internet savvy as most of your resources will be accessed from the computer.
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair mobile devices.
• Repairs are limited to smartphone screens with LCD replacements.
• Must be able to open, disassemble, repair the parts, and reassembled units when done.
• Proven ability to maintain professionalism, with a commitment to customer service.
• Must be able to manage job schedules and appointments. 

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent required.  Degree or certification in a computer/IT or related field is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and an automobile in good working condition with adequate insurance coverage.
• The job requires 100% travel, usually within 60 minutes, which means most of your day is spent driving to the customer.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings required. Our hours of operation are Sunday, 11AM -5PM and Monday through Saturday, 7AM-9PM.
• Our shifts are from 7AM - 3PM and 1PM - 9PM, and Sunday,11AM - 5PM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience repairing electronics, smartphones, computer hardware/software, PC/MACs, and game consoles.
• Previous experience working in a related field.
• Applicants with experience in computer repair, cell-phone repair, satellite or cable installation, auto, HVAC, and maintenance technicians, and every branch of the military are all welcomed.
• Previous customer facing experience a plus. (i.e. B2B sales, retail, wireless, or consumer electronic sales experience preferred etc.)
• College students and new grads welcomed. Technical degree or certification in Electronics or Consumer Electronics a plus.

Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

As an independent contractor, you would be responsible for payment of any and all state and/or federal income, Social Security, self-employment taxes, sales and use taxes, unemployment taxes, and payroll taxes and you will receive a form 1099 for service provided to United Smart Tech by you.

As an independent contractor, you will be required to have liability insurance.

Independent contractors are, by definition, independent professionals, and are required to pay for his/her own business expenses up front, and there may be ongoing fixed expenses, such as liability insurance, tools to do the job, and a background check and drug test.
