The Production Machine Assembler & Operator will safely assemble and operate machines and equipment involved in nitrile glove production.
- Assembles parts, machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, and more according to directions.
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts inventory management if supplies are needed.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Operates production machinery in accordance with specifications.
- Produces the required quantity of product within established specifications and tolerances.
- Inspects finished products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented and consistent.
- Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect product produced.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic ability in mathematics, reading and writing.
- At least three years of related experience required.
