Job description

Job Summary:
TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator to join our growing team. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across hybrid environments.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS.
• Design and support virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell and scripting tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and enforce security best practices, patch management, and compliance standards.
• Troubleshoot complex system, network, and application issues.
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configurations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–10+ years of experience in Windows system administration.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory & Group Policy.
• Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V).
• Experience with system monitoring tools and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience.
• The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Red Hat or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, OpenShift Administrator).
