Our client, the nation's largest municipal health care delivery system in the United States, is hiring a Regional Director of Nursing.
Responsibilities:
  • Works regionally with administrative and medical leadership to develop and implement the strategic plan of the assigned regional community health sites.
  • Acts as a change agent, leader and role model for the nursing profession with the goal of having nurses work at the top of their licenses.
  • Provides guidance and develops action plans to Improve and where necessary address patient care issues.
  • Assist in developing operating budget for salary and supply areas. Monitors variance activity on a monthly basis.
  • Consistently reviews department budget and implement cost containment strategies as needed.
  • As part of the regional senior leadership team responsible for the designated sites productivity including monitoring & optimizing provider scheduling templates.
  • Work with departmental leadership to develop strategies to enhance the patient experience. Monitor patient complaints in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Patient Relations to identify trends and plans of correction.
  • Develops a solid relationship with all aspects of Leadership and helps assist, implement, delivery (and measures) the strategic plan at all community health sites.
  • Transform delivery of clinical care Develop and implement services and program strategies that provide an exceptional patient-centered experience by developing a seamless care delivery system and innovative care models to improve quality outcomes, reduce unnecessary clinical variation and improve coordination across the continuum.
  • Provide program or functional leadership, communication and coordination to support goals and strategic priorities.
  • Regional lead for creative and innovative paths forward in the front lines of nursing and patient care.
  • Travel to different sites when required

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Master's Degree of Nursing or related field required
  • Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • Current certification in Ambulatory Care Nursing, preferred.
