Description

Position Summary:

The Testing Engineer supports quality engineering for the EDGAR 2.0 platform by designing, executing, and documenting tests across Agile delivery teams. You will validate features, identify and track defects, support regression and release testing, and use AI-assisted testing tools to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data based on requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, accessibility, and user acceptance testing support across assigned workstreams
  • Document test results, defects, evidence, and quality risks clearly and consistently in program tools
  • Partner with developers, business analysts, product owners, DevSecOps, and the Testing Lead to resolve defects and validate fixes
  • Support automated testing efforts by identifying repeatable test cases and maintaining automation-ready test assets
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint testing, and release-readiness activities
  • Validate data, interfaces, workflows, and user-facing functionality across cloud-native AWS platform components
  • Use AI-assisted testing tools for test-case drafting, coverage review, defect analysis, and reporting support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, test processes, and quality metrics

Requirements

Non-Technical Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be willing to work a HYRBID Schedule (2 Days) in Reston, VA & client locations in the Washington D.C. area as required.
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and self-start.
  • Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of software testing, quality assurance, or quality engineering experience
  • Experience creating and executing test cases from user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience with defect tracking, test evidence documentation, regression testing, and release validation
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, sprint testing, and collaboration with cross-functional technical teams
  • Understanding of functional, integration, regression, accessibility, and user acceptance testing practices
  • Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Federal IT modernization or financial-regulatory domain experience
  • Experience testing cloud-native applications, APIs, data workflows, or AWS-based systems
  • Exposure to test automation tools, CI/CD quality checks, or automated regression testing
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools for test generation, coverage analysis, and defect reporting
