About the Role
We are seeking a versatile UX Designer for a full-time position on the Savvas UX Design team. In this role, you will tackle complex design challenges across our K-12 educational technology platforms, bringing strong expertise in user-centered methodologies, user experience strategy, visual design, and design systems.
The UX Design team is responsible for our design system and platform functionality, covering assignments, assessments, data visualizations, reporting dashboards, administrative and operations workflows, and AI-powered teaching and learning experiences across our K-12 educational products.
What You'll Do
End-to-End Design: Drive the UX strategy and execution for high-impact product initiatives, adapting to different project assignments across our multi-product ecosystem as needs evolve.
User-Centered Design: Champion a steadfast human-centric approach. Advocate for the user, ensuring that all product decisions are rooted in real user needs, usability principles, and continuous feedback loops.
AI Feature Design: Design intuitive, trust-building experiences for AI-driven capabilities. Ensure AI outputs and insights are transparent, explainable, and seamlessly integrated into the user's natural workflow.
Design Cohesion: Thoughtfully contribute to and apply our design system to ensure visual and interaction consistency across platforms.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to align on requirements, ensure technical feasibility, and deliver high-quality solutions.
What You Bring
Experience: 3+ years of end-to-end UX/Product Design experience across the full product development lifecycle.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to apply user-centered design methodologies to solve complex, ambiguous problems through thoughtful UX and polished UI design.
AI Product Knowledge: Experience leveraging AI capabilities within digital products and services.
AI-Enhanced Workflow: Practical experience incorporating AI-powered tools into day-to-day design workflows to enhance ideation, exploration, efficiency, and productivity.
Design Systems: Proficiency with modern design tools and systems, including Figma, design systems, component libraries, and design tokens.
Interaction & Accessibility: Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), interaction design, responsive design, and information architecture.
Visual Design: Excellent visual and interface design skills, with attention to typography, layout, hierarchy, and usability.
Domain Expertise: Ideal candidates will have experience in EdTech, enterprise SaaS, or data-rich platforms serving institutional or administrative users.

This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. The posted hiring range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting and remains subject to modification. Compensation is determined by factors such as but not limited to skills, experience, budget, and internal equity.
Hiring Range: $72,000 - $90,000
