Position: Full Time Medical Asst Trainer & Float / Competency Evaluator
Department: Pro Corp Administration

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of your position as an MA Trainer-Competency Evaluator is to perform assigned duties in an efficient manner, in accordance with established procedures and as directed by the Practice manager of SCH Professional Corporation, to ensure that a successful, viable office is always maintained. Your duty is to act as a trainer and evaluate competency for our outpatient medical assistants. You will be given general guidelines and direction but are expected to function with initiative and creativity with the objective of office efficiency and technical excellence. May work on special projects both independently and with the practice manager. Will work closely with the Practice manager in coordinating training opportunities. Must also interact with a patient population which includes infants, adolescents and geriatrics, therefore, must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond appropriately. Under the supervision of a licensed physician(s) and the Practice manager of SCH Corp perform selected. You will also cover offices as needed under medical assistant duties for vacations, medical leaves, call-offs, etc. administrative/clerical duties that assist in patient care management. QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements/training:
  • High school diploma plus technical or vocational training. Diploma from Medical Assistant school and current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA).

Experience:
  • 5 years minimum experience in a medical office setting.

Job Skills:
  • Requires reading and understanding of moderately complex or detailed documents containing some unusual words and phrases.
  • Requires arithmetic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
  • Some typing or word processing is required, general forms and/or internal memos or short letters. Requires computer skills for basic data entry and retrieval.
  • Experience using and documenting Electronic Health Records (EHR), or Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Ten finger keyboard typing skills are required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential for explaining complex topics and providing effective instruction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required to develop lesson plans and track trainee progress.
