What are the primary responsibilities in the Advanced Database/Web Engineer position?
Core responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of data systems with both web and database components, analyzing and maintaining existing databases and web interfaces, and adding new features to operational systems. This will include implementing signal processing and other algorithms with efficient software, testing with real data, providing applications to front-line customer facilities, and creating effective user interfaces and data visualization tools. A key responsibility is staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects. RRC personnel can expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, and experience the direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference. You’re encouraged and expected to propose things that you believe will improve the applications and frameworks you’re working in. The ability to work unsupervised with minimal direction and the ability to self-start is a must.
